We have been working to create a polled mini- to moderate-sized Valais Blacknose “BabyValais” sheep with a lovely temperament for the past 6 years, on the foundation of our 17 years of Babydoll breeding.

Our closest approximation of a mini/moderate Valais Blacknose yet. We will keep working in this direction. We call all of our closest attempts “BabyValais”. Our BabyValais will always have both Babydoll Southdown and Valais Blacknose genetics from excellent backgrounds. We welcome others to join us in this endeavor so that some day, we will have enough good genetics to be able to create a breed standard and keep the breed going. Our goal, ideally, is to have polled ewe lambs or wethers that are adorable, smaller than a purebred Valais, larger than a Babydoll, but very friendly, that family farms, children and farm visitors can enjoy for years to come.
